Just think about those 4 words a moment. No fear No Stress.
Do you think that’s true? Well, take a look at your own life. Do you experience ‘stress’? If you do, what particular situations do you find stressful?
When you feel ‘stressed’, what do you think is the underlying emotion? If you feel irritated and frustrated when your children won’t cooperate, you might think that the emotion is anger, but I suspect, if you looked underneath the anger, there would be some fear.
I want you to try something now. I want you to jot down the answer to the following question, and as you do so, just keep on writing till you have run out of things to say. Here’s the question..
If I wasn’t afraid I would………….
When you’ve finished, take a look at what you’ve written and then ask yourself
What is it that I’m really afraid of?
Perhaps it’s fear of
failure
scarcity
humiliation
hurting yourself or someone else
not being liked or loved
not ‘fitting in’
being rejected
being alone?
Not doing something because you’re afraid to, means you get to avoid the possibility of anything ‘unpleasant’ happening, There’s a real ‘upside’ to ‘staying stuck’, that’s why you do it! The trouble is, there’s also a ‘downside’ too….
I’m assuming that up until now, the upside has outweighed the down. The question is, do you want to continue ‘playing safe’, or do you want to feel fully ‘alive’ and fulfill your dreams?
Whatever you choose is fine, just make sure you do it ‘consciously’, taking responsibility for your choices. It doesn’t work to spend your life trying to keep other people happy, only to blame them a few years down the line!
Whatever you do, and however you do it, why not choose to make yourself happy.
It’s okay to feel scared and do nothing, and it’s okay to feel the fear and do it anyway! Your choice.
So, next time you feel ‘stressed’, look at what’s going on underneath it. You can stay stressed if you want to, or you can choose to feel something else.
I’ve included a simple EFT demonstration to help you to let go of stress and relax easily. Once you’re relaxed, there will be all sorts of options open to you.
Please do let me know how you get on, by leaving a comment or two underneath this blog.

Hi Julie, Thank You for the Video. I was a 10 yesterday after a disagreement with a dear friend & I was miserable the Whole Day. I will apply your techniques in the future. I’m glad you posted this. Better Late than Never I say, so now I’ll be better able to recover from stressful situations faster.
Regarding your Question: If I wasn’t Afraid I would…
I found it hard to answer because consciously I am Not afraid of anything. Well perhaps Sky Diving… but not because I fear heights, mostly because The Shoot might Not Open and I’m not ready to go Splat. It is on My Bucket List, so after I’ve fulfilled the major part of my dreams & aspirations… or should I say- When I’m ready & ok with going Splat (in case it should happen) then I’ll do it. …..Sorry I digress, so I found it hard to answer & sat here really thinking.
I instead asked myself… “Why do I Procrastinate??” Ahhhhh… That is My Fear Hot Button. I realized that the things I put off is due to a latent fear of not successfully completing the task. So there, it’s off my chest. Reality is stressful… (I start thumping my palm)
LoL
Really, Thank You!!
xoxo
