Change your life
Life Coaching – EFT – Hypnosis – Healthy Living
Helping people live healthy, happy, sustainable lives
Your life is made up of a series of habits. Many of them are useful, others can be negative and even destructive such as smoking or overspending. Changing an old habit may be unattainable but the good news is you can always create positive new ones.
That’s where the Habit Fixer comes in. I’ll work with you to uncover the habits that are holding you back and help you develop new ones for a better, more fulfilling life.
Meet the Habit Fixer
I am an Advanced Level 3 EFT Practitioner, Life Coach and Hypnotherapist.
I have used the skills I specialise in, to overcome my own low self-worth and body image issues. I now show people how to nourish themselves from the inside out (body, mind and skin).
I met Julie Mann when my father was in hospital slowly leaving us … it was very hard to deal with it … I happened to hear about Julie and her ‘tapping’ and decided to try … what harm could it do? … It indeed did no harm, but on the contrary, it helped me a lot to accept my father’s slow death and simply face it … it was 4 months ago … I don’t need tapping anymore and feel alive again … thanks!

The session with you really helped me to deal with some negative thoughts still lingering since the death of my father last year. The positive energy that the tapping released and your sensitivity have helped me to move on and begin to find closure. I would definitely recommend your sessions and I have used the tapping techniques you taught me on several occasions since we met.

I have always struggled with my weight. One session with Julie learning how to "TAP" has helped me to follow a healthy eating program and enabled me to avoid the temptations and cravings, which prevented me losing weight. I am so pleased and even better it is easy and feels good. Control without control.

Confidence Building Courses
Being self-confident is about believing that you will be able to succeed in what you set out to do. If you don’t feel confident right now, it’s okay because onfidence is a skill that can be learned over time.

Fitting in and bowing to peer pressure can come from a fear of being judged or ostracised from a group. After all, it can be unpleasant when someone
criticises us
laughs at us
talks to us in a disapproving tone
or gives us one of those looks (you know the one I mean!)
I remember wanting to fit in at school but I wasn’t a particularly popular child. I had friends, but we definitely weren’t the ‘cool gang’!!
Unlike my twin brother, I didn’t particularly enjoy school, but I absolutely loved my English and Drama teacher. Ms Hitch saw I had a spark of talent when it came to drama, and she encouraged me to explore that. I felt ‘at home’ at last! Yes, I ‘belonged’. In this imaginary World I could be someone else and fit in to a fascinating story, I was hooked!
I am forever thankful to Ms Hitch because her faith in me led to me joining the Redruth Amateur Dramatic Society, going off to the Welsh College of Music and Drama in the late 70’s and then working as a professional actor (including Repertory Theatres and London’s National Theatre, BBC TV and Radio).
Although, I am proud of my professional career, LIFE IS NOT ABOUT ACTING! Pretending to be someone else doesn’t work for 2 reasons.
1. Other people don’t like it because we tend to build relationships with people we ‘know like and trust’
2. It chips away at our self worth and self esteem which are essential for happiness, and it can make us feel empty inside and like our spirit has been squashed.
When I became conscious of my behaviour and realised that the best part I could ever have, was a part in my REAL LIFE, I began to learn how to love myself, accept the parts of me I didn’t like and find ways to nourish myself and make myself happy.
The journey of being ‘unapologetically me’ involves me taking responsibility daily for my thoughts, actions and behaviour. It means approving of myself regardless of what others might think and loving myself, body, mind and skin!
if you feel it’s time now to love yourself too

Do you take the time to switch off and let go?
With so many distractions and demands on our time, sometimes the only way to `take time out` is to literally schedule it it the diary.
If you’re someone who regularly says, “I don’t have time for me!”, I invite you to ask yourself this question, “How can I carve out some time for me?”
We ALL have 24 hours in the day so it’s really a question of priorities. Some people don’t consider themselves a priority and that`s where the problem lies. Problem, what problem is that? you may ask!
The Stress caused by pushing yourself and not relaxing and unwinding can have several negative effects on your overall wellbeing such as.....
1. Detrimental effects on your physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. It can contribute to various health issues like heart disease, weakened immune system, anxiety, and depression
2. Risk of burnout, (which is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by prolonged stress and overwork). Burnout can lead to decreased productivity, lack of motivation, and feelings of cynicism and detachment.
3. Productivity and creativity may suffer. Continuous work without downtime can lead to decreased focus, diminished problem-solving abilities, and difficulty generating new ideas.
4. Strained relationships: Neglecting to relax and unwind can result in increased irritability, impatience, and reduced emotional availability in your relationships. When you are constantly stressed and overwhelmed, it can be challenging to be present and engage fully with loved ones. This can strain relationships and hinder meaningful connections.
5. Quality of life suffers. Neglecting activities that bring you joy, can result in feelings of dissatisfaction, unhappiness, and a sense of imbalance.
Prioritising time for yourself sends a message that your needs matter. It`s also a proven fact that self care can boost your self esteem and reinforce our sense of self worth.
If you`re ready to carve out some time for you and diarise it great. If you need some support, check out the resources on my website or book a complimentary discovery call with me? It`s always easier with support

Do you like your body?
Would you like to feel good in your own skin?
This is me without any make up on, just amazing skincare (see my bio)
I used to have a really unhealthy relationship to food and myself. In fact, I used to be bulimic. It took me years to figure out that using food as a coping mechanism really didn`t address the core problem and only made me feel worse about myself. Anyone relate?
The problem with food is that, unlike drugs, food is readily available everywhere, and we have to eat!
I went down the diet route, in fact I tried every diet I could get my hands on (including the Bacon & Egg diet and the Cheese & Raisin diet!) Then I resorted to bingeing and using laxatives. It was really only when the dog discovered the Exlax in my coat pocket (and practically turned himself inside out in the garden) that my mum asked me if I was okay. Although I didn`t admit at the time what was really going on, I realised that something had to change.
Being trapped in a cycle of shame, guilt and frustration and hating yourself, is no way to live.
When I decided to ditch the dieting, change my habits and start to accept myself and find ways to nourish me (body mind and skin) everything changed, and what`s more, it can for you too!
I am so happy that I never count calories, starve myself or say no to an ice cream or chocolate if I feel like it. I have a great relationship with food and age 65, I am very happy in my own skin.

When did you start to care about your health and wellbeing?
Did something happen to make you change your behaviour?
The brilliant thing is that it’s never too late to start to take care of yourself. I’ve never once sought out the help of an aesthetician (though I have nothing against it) In fact all I have on my skin, is good skin products and a little make up, that really deliver results.
I actually only started to care about my health and wellbeing about 10 years ago. I used to smoke 30 cigarettes a day, drank way too much, and didn’t give a damn about what I put in my body or on my body. It was only when I looked at the impact of my current habits (physically and emotionally) that I decided to create some new habits, that would begin to nourish me instead.
I truly believe 10 years on, that the key to looking and feeling more youthful comes down to 3 things - self care having a curiosity for life and being playful.

Healthy Living
Do you believe we are all made to flourish, thrive and grow?
A holistic approach to living a healthy, happy life is now more important than ever.
We all know that life can be challenging, so doing what we can to take care of ourselves, physically, mentally and emotionally is essential.
There’s a synergy between the outside of your body (your skin) and the inside (your mind and body) and it all starts in the gut. In my experience, clients achieve the best ongoing results when they take a wholistic approach. This includes combining changing habits with clean, vegan, nutrition and skincare.
